3.6 magnitude earthquake felt across San Diego County

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Residents reported feeling a small earthquake that struck in eastern San Diego County Saturday evening.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 3.6 magnitude earthquake that struck at 7:02 p.m. on Saturday at a depth of 7.3 km between Pine Valley and Julian in East County.

The earthquake was followed by at least two aftershocks — a 1.4 magnitude and a 1.2 magnitude — both also near Pine Valley.
