SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Mark Wahlberg is expanding his business ventures in San Diego County with the addition of a Mexican restaurant in 4S Ranch.
Wahlberg’s Flecha Cantina, which currently has locations in Huntington Beach and Las Vegas, plans to open a new branch in 4S Commons Town Center — specifically, taking over the spot housed by Miguel’s Cocina.
According to its online menu, Flecha Cantina serves different types of ceviche, a variety of tacos with handmade corn tortillas and escabeche, and an array of brunch and lunch offerings including carne asada con huevos, churro French toast and carnitas flautas.
Miguel’s Cocina closed its 4S Ranch location for several days in late 2023 after people who had eaten at the restaurant reported being hospitalized with E. coli, including four children.
Since then, the establishment went through several food safety measures to prevent a similar outbreak from happening again.
Mark Wahlberg’s Municipal to open flagship store in Oceanside
The 4S Ranch location at 10514 Craftsman Way will be replaced by Wahlberg’s Flecha Cantina sometime in 2026, although no opening date has yet been set in stone.
The Mexican-inspired restaurant would not be the first of Walhberg’s business ventures in San Diego County.
Last fall, he opened the flagship store for Municipal, his performance apparel brand, in Oceanside. The store, located at 1722 South Coast Highway, serves as a communal space that also features coffee by Urth Caffe, a barber shop and a lounge area with WiFi.
