Here’s How The US Open Crowd Reacted To Trump Showing Up On The Jumbotron

Donald Trump attended the US Open men’s final on Sunday.

The match was delayed 45 minutes because of extra security checks, so let’s just say people weren’t too happy.

Because of that extra security, Trump’s initial “hello” was to a half-empty stadium:

Eventually, more people got in and they showed him on the jumbotron during the National Anthem:

FWIW, ABC News reporter Olivia Rubin pointed out that there was a still a huge crowd waiting outside.

The New York Times is saying Trump was met with “mostly boos.”

People on social media are saying similar things: “It started as a cheer that was drowned out by boos.”

Other people are saying something to tune of, “Wait until the thousands that were stuck outside get in…”

And this person (accurately) predicted, “He’s gonna force himself down our throats for the world cup and the olympics isn’t he.”
