‘One Piece’ Season 2 Was Filmed In Cape Town: Best Places To Visit There

Monkey D Luffy and the Straw Hat crew return in Season 2 of One Piece for a new high-seas adventure inspired by Eiichiro Oda’s manga. Much of the live-action drama was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, which serves as the backdrop for several scenes in the series.

Following the success of the first season, the live-action adaptation continues to expand the world of pirates, friendship, and adventure that has captivated fans for decades. This time, the characters head towards the Grand Line after establishing their team at East Blue. This eight-episode series, filmed at Cape Town Film Studios, promises an exciting chapter in this pirate saga.

One Piece Season 2: Cast, plot and more

Inaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) who were seen in Season 1 will also play pivotal roles in Season 2 of One Piece: Into The Grand Line. Joining the returning cast members are Rigo Sanchez (Dragon), Yonda Thomas (Iaram), James Hiroyuki Liao (Ipponmatsu), Sophia Anne Caruso (Miss Goldenweek), Mark Penwill (Chess), Anton David Jeftha (K.M.), Charithra Chandran (Miss Wednesday), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Nefertari Cobra), Katey Sagal (Dr. Kureha), Clive Russell (Crocus), and Callum Kerr (Smoker), along with other talented actors.

Season 2 of One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew as they embark on a new adventure in the Grand Line, a dangerous sea full of powerful pirates, mysterious islands, and new allies. On this journey, they encounter rival pirates, face unusual climates, and receive growing threats from the World Government. As Luffy moves closer to his quest to become the Pirate King and find the One Piece, the crew must be united at all costs and survive all the challenges that come their way.

All eight episodes of One Piece Season 2 will stream on March 10, 2026, and are available to watch on Netflix.
