It’s a new year, which means it’s time to start plotting out all the new places you’ll go. The best part? You don’t even have to spend a ton to get there if you don’t want to.

In early December, Dollar Flight Club released its annual Cheap Flight Forecast, sharing a list of the 30 cheapest places to fly in 2026, which includes 15 domestic locations and 15 international destinations.

To uncover the best flight deals, the team ranked destinations by “typical low price and deal frequency,” then it factored in gateway access, stability, and traveler value to surface the most “repeatable, real-world affordable destinations, not just the cheapest outliers.” It also tracked when each destination tends to drop in price by month and by day of the week, to help “you can book inside the sweet spot.”

After reviewing all available information, Dollar Flight Club found that you can travel to San Salvador, El Salvador, for just over $198, offering the best international deal for 2026. As for the prime time to visit, Dollar Flight Club noted that December to March, El Salvador’s dry season, has the best deals.

Following closely behind is Madrid, Spain, with an average price of around $438 (and remember, while other flights may be cheaper, the team also factored in which destinations have better deal frequency), followed by Vancouver, Canada, with an average price of about $248. Rounding out the top five are Lisbon, Portugal, at about $491, and Medellín, Colombia, at about $254.

Beyond finding these flights, Dollar Flight Club also pointed to its in-depth guide to booking the cheapest flights possible. While it offers plenty of tips, the most important is this: stay flexible if you want to find a great deal.

“One could argue it’s more difficult to have the flexibility to actually get on those flights than it is to find them,” Dollar Flight Club explained. “If you can’t flex a few months, even being able to flex a few days can help you save on flights. Flying Tuesday—Tuesday instead of Sunday—Sunday can sometimes save you hundreds per ticket. The best days to score off-peak, cheaper flights are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.”

Who knows, maybe with these tips you can save enough to take a second international vacation in 2026, too.
