Bali Island, voted Asia’s most beautiful this year by readers of Condé Nast Traveler, has been named one of Asia’s 20 best travel destinations for 2025 based on votes by experts and travelers on U.S. News & World Report.
“Bali’s natural beauty is so profound that travelers often refer to it as paradise on Earth,” the American news outlet noted.
The Indonesian holiday island boasts lush rainforests, picturesque mountains, sweeping valleys, and scenic beaches, all located in close proximity. Visitors are encouraged to explore its iconic temples, including Uluwatu and Tanah Lot—both perfect spots to enjoy a sunset.
“No first-time trip to Bali would be complete without a visit to Ubud, the island’s cultural capital, renowned for its stunning rice terraces and sacred monkey forest,” the report added.
Mount Fuji in Japan topped the list as the best place to visit in 2025, followed by Tokyo and Palawan Island in the Philippines.
The rankings were evaluated based on factors such as weather, local hotel rates, flight costs, attractions, and transportation options within each destination.
Bali has seen a strong tourism rebound following the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last year, it welcomed 15.5 million visitors, approaching its pre-pandemic numbers from 2019. In the first seven months of this year alone, the island recorded 3.89 million arrivals, up from 2.9 million during the same period last year.
In October, Bali was recognized as the most beautiful island in Asia by readers of the American magazine Condé Nast Traveler in its Readers’ Choice Awards.
